Please announce your move to your building’s maintenance company. You can find their contact details easily in the Jooppi residents' app or on your building’s noticeboard. Once your notification has been processed, the maintenance company will update the name on your door.

If you're unsure about the temperature in your apartment, start by measuring it. The normal indoor temperature range is 18–32°C, with the recommended room temperature between 20–22°C. Measure the temperature from the middle of the room, about one meter from the floor.
If the temperature is consistently below 19°C or above 32°C, please report it to the maintenance company. They’ll check to ensure everything is working as it should. You can find their contact details in Jooppi residents' app or on your building’s noticeboard.
Window openers and curtain clips are not included in the apartment’s standard equipment and should be purchased by the resident. Of course, you’re welcome to take them with you when you move to your next home.
If the drain is blocked or the toilet doesn't flush properly, please contact maintenance promptly. You can find their contact details easily in the Jooppi residents' app or on your building’s noticeboard.

In case of furniture or equipment breakages in the apartment, or if you lose your key, kindly make a service request in the Jooppi residents' app as soon as possible. To find out the charges for damages or losses caused by resident negligence, please see this price list. The price list also details the costs related to inadequate end of tenancy cleaning.
You can hang up artwork or other objects, as long as you don’t leave big marks on the walls. Picture hanging strips, for example, are a handy way to put up light-weight artwork. Please do not use double-sided tape to attach the paintings, as it will remove the paint from the wall.
Using small nails is allowed. You can also mount a small shelf or TV bracket on the wall using appropriate fixing. Please read our apartment maintenance guidelines before making any fixings or installations. Please also note that your apartment complex may have its own apartment complex-specific instructions in which making holes may be prohibited. If necessary, please contact our customer service for more information.
In some of our apartment complexes you can make use of our free Joo Fixer service. The always helpful Joo Fixer is happy to help you put up pictures and mirrors or install light fixtures. If your apartment complex offers this service, you can book it in the Jooppi app. Please note that as a resident, it's your responsibility to repair any major damage to the walls, like marks left behind by removed shelves, before you move out of the apartment.
Don't forget to notify the maintenance company of your building so they can help the new resident if they ever forget their keys. Sealing the pipes is the tenant’s responsibility, and it’s a good idea to do so. If an unsealed pipe causes water damage, the tenant will be responsible for the costs. There are no fines for leaving the pipes open, but it is a known risk. A blanking plug costs around €2–6.

Have you remembered to set up your electricity supply? If your electricity account is active and the power is still off, check that the fuses are switched on. You can find them in the electrical cabinet on the wall in your hallway.
If the problem persists, check whether the lights in the stairwell are working. If not, it could be a wider power outage. You can check the situation on this power outage map (in Finnish).

If a household appliance isn’t getting water, check that the water inlet valve is fully open.
If your shower has low water pressure or temperature issues, please contact the maintenance company. You can find their contact details in the Jooppi residents' app or on your building’s noticeboard.
If no water is coming out anywhere, there may be a water supply interruption. Check for service updates from your local water provider.

To start using the internet included in your rent, you first need to activate the connection by contacting a service provider, such as Telia or Elisa. If needed, you can also upgrade your internet speed. You'll find more detailed instructions in the Jooppi residents' app.
Once your connection is activated, you can access the internet by plugging the ethernet cable (located in the electrical cabinet in your hallway) into the correct port. The ports are numbered to match the wall sockets in different rooms. After connecting the cable to your chosen number, you can use a wired internet connection in the corresponding room.
If you prefer wireless internet, you’ll need to purchase your own router or modem. You can connect it in any room or directly inside the electrical cabinet.
If everything is set up correctly but your internet still isn’t working, please contact your service provider for assistance.
If you need more home keys, please send us a service request in the Jooppi residents' app.
If you lose your keys, please let us know as soon as possible through the Jooppi residents' app.
If you’ve accidentally locked yourself out, the maintenance company can let you back in. You can find their contact details on your building’s front door, the stairwell noticeboard, and in the Jooppi residents' app.
Have you submitted your move-in notification to the maintenance company? They can only open the door to people who have officially registered with them.

Thank you for not leaving rubbish bags on the ground, as keeping the area clean helps deter animals.
When there’s heavy snowfall, it’s not possible to clear all our properties at once. Snow clearing starts with emergency access routes and main walkways, after which the maintenance company moves on to the next location to repeat the process. Parking areas and smaller pathways are cleared last. Please note that different teams handle snow removal by machine and manual snow clearing.
Parking areas are only cleared if there is enough space for the snow plough to access them. Residents renting a parking space are responsible for clearing and gritting their own spot. We recommend keeping a snow shovel in your car to make this easier.
Whenever possible, we also provide shared snow removal tools for residents to use.
