Worried about your finances?

If you’re worried about making ends meet, here are three tips:

1. Make a list of all your income and outgoings

Firstly, make a list of all your income and outgoings. Seeing them clearly on paper can help you understand where your money goes. Prioritise paying your rent, buying groceries, and covering other essential bills. Then you can see if there’s anything else you can cut back on.

If your current apartment is too expensive, try our apartment search to see if there are any more affordable option available.

2. Make the most of housing allowance and social assistance

You can find out more about Kela allowances on the Kela website.

If you receive housing allowance from Kela, please arrange for it to be paid directly to Joo Kodit. Submit your tenancy agreement, rent bills and your permanent reference number, available in the Jooppi residents app under My documents > Invoices.

3. Don't hesitate to ask for help
